Open-source and third-party notices

VolumeForge uses open-source software and links to materials hosted by third parties. Each component remains under its own licence.

Last updated: 29 October 2026.

Download the bundled third-party copyright notices and licence texts. This includes the installed Three.js, fflate, Lucide (including Feather), Comlink, PlaneGCS, Astro, Starlight, and Pagefind notices. Additional OCCT terms and source links are described below. The licences grant rights directly from their respective authors; the VolumeForge terms do not override them.

Software componentLicence
Three.js 0.181.2MIT
fflate 0.8.3MIT
Lucide 1.48.0ISC; Feather-derived icons: MIT
Comlink 4.4.2Apache-2.0
@salusoft89/planegcs 1.2.0GNU LGPL; the package includes the LGPL 2.1 text. Its npm metadata declares LGPL-2.0-or-later; preserve the component’s source-file notices.
occt-wasm wrapper 3.8.0MIT OR Apache-2.0
Open CASCADE Technology (OCCT) WebAssemblyLGPL-2.1 with the Open CASCADE exception

The occt-wasm tooling and wrapper licence is separate from the compiled OCCT WebAssembly licence. The installed package identifies its OCCT base as V8.0.0.p1 and its compiled output as LGPL-2.1-only. The Open CASCADE exception supplements the OCCT licence; it is not a replacement for the LGPL.

Upstream source and build information are available from the PlaneGCS project and occt-wasm version 3.8.0. Read the GNU LGPL v2.1 and the linked Open CASCADE exception for their terms. These upstream references identify the projects; they are not a claim that a release-specific corresponding-source archive is hosted by VolumeForge.

The LGPL components are supplied without warranty under their licences. You retain the rights those licences grant, including modification and reverse engineering for debugging modifications where applicable. The editor loads its geometry and constraint-solving WebAssembly as separate assets. Any redistribution must preserve applicable notices and meet the relevant source and modification/replacement requirements.

Software componentLicence
Astro 5.18.2MIT
Starlight 0.37.7MIT
Pagefind 1.5.2MIT

The editor lets you browse materials from ambientCG and Poly Haven. Previews and texture files are provided directly by those libraries. Their assets are released under CC0:

CC0 permits reuse without attribution. See each provider’s licence page for details. These licences apply to the assets, not the providers’ websites or other content.
