Fillet and chamfer

Use Fillet or chamfer in the left rail to treat the edge of a ready solid. A fillet rounds an edge; a chamfer makes a flat bevel. Select a suitable kernel edge, choose the operation, set its radius or distance, and inspect the preview before confirming.

For a 2D profile, stay in the normal modeling view, choose Fillet or Chamfer, and click a corner where exactly two straight segments meet. You can also select the corner vertex first, then choose the tool. A preview appears with a suggested size and updates as you enter a radius or distance. Confirm to trim the segments and add the arc or bevel to the profile. To change its value later, open Sketch Edit, select the generated arc or bevel, and edit its value in the sketch panel. Finish Sketch to save the edit.

Some edge selections cannot produce a valid solid for a given size. If the operation reports a failure, try a smaller value or a different edge. The feature appears in the model tree after a successful operation, where supported dimensions can be edited.

Use Extrude when the edited profile is ready to become a solid.
