Draw curves
Choose Draw curve from the left rail. In Curves options, choose a type and follow the construction prompt. Curve dimensions use the unit selected in Settings; angle settings are in degrees.
| Type | Construction | Useful settings |
|---|---|---|
| Parabola | Click start, end, then a point on the curve. | Depth changes the pointer-controlled curve depth; Flip direction reverses it. |
| Ellipse | Click the center, a point on the major axis, and a point defining the minor axis. | Major and minor radii, rotation, and optional start/end angles for a trimmed ellipse. |
| Hyperbola | Click the center, an axis point, and a point on the curve. | Major/minor radii, branch, rotation, and trim extent. |
| Bézier | Choose quadratic (3 control points) or cubic (4), then place the endpoints and handles as prompted. | Degree: quadratic or cubic. |
| B-spline | Choose degree 2 or 3 and place the control points; press Enter to finish. | Degree. |
The options panel shows the point prompt and reports when the current draft is complete. Use Escape to cancel it. For a face, the resulting curves must form a supported closed boundary; then use Create a face. For snapping and point placement, see Snapping and curves and Place points while sketching.
